I painted this after being in London. I've placed it in the desert which is in juxtaposition to it's usual city surrounding to isolate and emphasise the symbolic nature of the iconic red telephone box as being distinctively 'London'. I have a print of this up in my home (sadly sold the original) often when I look at it I can feel London calling me back.
