Perseus son of Jupiter/Zeus was in love with Andromeda, killed the sea monster and rescued her from her bonds.
A love story certainly. I like the metaphorical story where it represents the constraints of societal expectations or its limitations. Breaking free and challenging the system (ever the punk or sea monster) and representing female empowerment where we can control our own narratives, attend to social justice and fight inequality.
